Government Driver Carrying MMD Material Flees Mob(updated)
A govenrment driver was on Thursday forced to speed off, after a mob of angry Livingstone residents surrounded a vehicle he was using to distribute MMD Chitenge Materials to malamba market.
Southern province Pf chairperson Joseph Akufumba who rushed to the market after his secretary Roy Mangalelwa alerted him pf the presnces of the government vehicle, he said the MMD levels of abusing governentm was not only alarming but alos annoying.
"The the driver sped off after he realized that my secretary was taking pictures of the vehicle using a mobile phone, this arrogant cleary shows the reason president Rupiah Banda doesn't want to dissolve the govenrment because he wants MMd to abuse governemt resources to benefit his election Bid." akafumba said.
She said despite MMd's action to distribute chitenge to marketeers, many of them were not keen to receiving the materials. Akafuba, a lawyer said president Banda should not annoy people by abusing governmetn resources"
People have been complaining about abuse of government resources but the MMD through its leaders arrogance has been refusing.It will be fair for president Banda level to the playing field by disolving parliament and announce election date, let him not hide behind the ECZ.
If continues abusing governmental resources, people will be forced to react."
Mangalelwa said youths at the market allerted him on the presences of a government van distributing chitenge materials.
