Poaching Worries Tourism Sector
Poaching activities in game management areas has been cited as a hazard towards the growth of the tourism sector.
In the first half 2011, anti-poaching activities included the recovery of 300 kilogrammes of bush meat and tusks of a large bull.
Three buffalo carcasses were also found in upper Mwambashi area within the lower Zambezi game reserve.
Authorities have since raised concern over reports of poaching and its effects on tourism.
