PF Names Dubious Characters Fabricating False Afghan Stories

THE Patriotic Front is trying to establish the authenticity of reports circulating that some secret service operatives and a senior editor at one of the two state newspapers are fabricating and coordinating falsehoods that the PF has mortgaged the country to foreign interests in Afghanistan, Taiwan and Sudan.
The party is also following up with its sources to authenticate the name of an officer from the OP who is leading the malicious scheme to discredit the PF.
“In the past these individuals have enjoyed the comfort of anonymity as they attack and incite public outrage against others, now it is punch-for-punch and we shall systematically name all those individuals manufacturing lies and supplying them to discredited individuals to parrot as soon as we have the facts.”
The desperation by the MMD is fast destroying the very foundations of our strategic state institutions which have now been turned into extensions of the ruling party. The PF in government will separate the operations of the secret service from those of the party.

FFTUZ Hails PF Conference

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) has commended the Patriotic Front for what it has described as the timely and democratic general conference it held in Kabwe over the weekend.
FFTUZ president Joyce Simukoko in a statement released to QFM today says the Union congratulates PF leader Michael Sata for going through unopposed as party president and others who were elected by the conference.
Mrs Simukoko says it is the wish of the labour movement that other remaining political parties aspiring to contest in this year's election will as well follow suit and ensure they too hold similar democratic conventions in order to allow their followers exercise their rights to choose their party leaders in the same vein the rest of the country's voters will exercise their rights in the forthcoming election.
She says this is a good stride for democracy.
Mrs Simukoko has also hailed the peaceful manner in which the PF held its general conference.
