State Has Set Aside Enough Funds For 2011 Polls
Finance and National Planning Minister Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane says government has set aside enough resources towards this year's tripartite elections.
Dr. Musokotwane says the government is committed to ensuring that the forthcoming general election is conducted in a free and transparent manner.
He says a stable socio-political environment is a foundation for economic development adding that should there be shortage of resources; government will quickly mobilize the funds.
The minister explains that his ministry will ensure that the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has all the necessary tools needed to conduct transparent elections.
Dr. Musokotwane adds that Zambia has been able to attract a number of foreign investors owing to the peace and stability that the country continues to enjoy.
