Sichinga : Defections, Clear Indication Of 'Wind Of Change'
Economic and political consultant Bob Sichinga has observed that defections being witnessed in the ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy MMD are a clear confirmation that the wind of change is coming to the fulfillment.
Mr. Sichinga says it is also an indication that even in the MMD, people are tired with the kind of leadership that is being provided.
He says even those in leadership positions have seen the difficulties in the MMD which include favoritism.
He says MMD members are defecting to the Patriotic Front because they have realized that the battle this year is between the PF and the MMD.
Mr. Sichinga says there is no doubt that the MMD is leaving power after the 2011 elections, because the situation on the ground does not favour the ruling party.
He predicts more defections from the MMD with the Patriotic Front being the biggest beneficiary of those defections.
