Local Artistes Demand For Recognition
The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has bemoaned being left out of the national tourism re-branding exercise.
The association says it is surprised at the Zambia Tourism Board ZTB’s co-opting of Congolese musicians in the re-branding campaign.
Last week, Zambia phased out the tourism tag-line Zambia the real Africa replacing it with Zambia Lets Explore.
But ZAM President, Maiko Zulu has told MUVI TV that the re-branding campaign should have centred on local artists.
However, ZTB Managing Director, Felix Chaila has said in a separate interview that the board has embraced both local and foreign artists in the campaign
