LCC Investigating Bogus Cemetery Charges
The Lusaka City Council is investigating some officials allegedly charging some unsuspecting mourners for burial sites at Chingwere cemetery.
The Local authority says Chingwere cemetery is a free burial site and no mourner should be made to pay.
Council Public relations officer, Henry Kapata however clarifies that mourners are only required to pay twenty thousand kwacha for a burial permit.
He has since called on members of the public who are made to pay for burial sites to report such cases to the council.
