AVAP Calls For Mature Politics
Anti Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) executive director Bonnie Tembo has called for civilized politics in the run-up to elections.
Mr. Tembo says successful democratic politics begin with the type of politics being practiced by political leaders.
He says leaders of the main political parties should not take pride in insulting each other at the expense of addressing real political issues.
He says it is embarrassing to note that 46-years after the country gained independence political maturity in some politicians is lacking.
Mr Tembo adds that AVAP will continue calling for issue based politics in order to prevent low voter turnout in elections.
